From Mexico to the Dordogne
We love the contrast between Mexico and its hectic capital, with its population of over 22 million, and the calm of the Périgord, particularly La Doinie and its thirty or so inhabitants. Quite a contrast indeed!

We are a Franco-Mexican performing arts couple who have been living in the magnificent Périgord Noir region since September 2021, where we spend 6 months of the year. We spend the rest of the year (autumn and winter) in México City, where we passionately run one of Mexico's leading theater companies. After the pandemic, we decided to change our lives and get closer to nature. Having managed several Airbnb accommodations for 7 years in Mexico and Paris, and being frequent travelers ourselves who had visited a large part of the globe in search of new experiences, we decided to combine our new life project with a self-catering project.

Hosting travelers was not something unknown to us, so we decided to settle in the Dordogne, a region where we had stayed in the past and which fascinated us. After an arduous search lasting over a year, we found this magnificent place, full of potential, which had already been operating as a gîte for some twenty years. Wishing to share our enthusiasm with travellers who want to discover all the wonders of the Périgord Noir, we embarked on this new project
