La Doinie is a small hamlet overlooking the valley, halfway between Sarlat-la-Canéda and Montignac-Lascaux, in a particularly calm and peaceful environment, surrounded by chestnut forests, yet within easy reach of all the major tourist attractions of the Périgord.
The beautiful medieval village of Saint-Genies is less than 5 minutes away and well worth a visit. There's a grocery store, a bakery, a butcher's shop, a café and four restaurants, as well as a beautiful Sunday market with many local producers.
