SARLAT-La-CANÉDA

Less than 15 minutes away, just a few kilometers from the banks of the Dordogne river, lies the majestic and unmissable Sarlat-la-Canéda, Europe's largest concentration of medieval buildings, built of beautiful honey-colored stone that glows golden in the evening sun. Dozens of gourmet restaurants are to be found here, as are all the major retailers (Carrefour, Intermarché, Leclerc, Lidl, Casino, Bricomarché, Action, etc.). Its Saturday market is well worth a visit.
